Our organic hazelnuts originate from Turkey which produces 70% of the world’s hazelnuts. That is over 700 000 tonnes of hazelnuts every year.
Also known as Filberts, they are mainly grown in the Black Sea region of northern Turkey where the warm summer weather and frequent rains create the perfect climate for them. Harvested around September/October time, these flavourful nuts have long been a wintertime favourite.
As well as being great tasting, Hazelnuts are also great for the health conscious. They are high in healthy fats , very low in cholesterol and packed with protein, carbs and fiber. Hazelnuts are also a great source of Antioxidants.
CERTIFICATES: Our hazelnuts are certified organic according to EU, NOP/USDA and JAS standards. They are processed in our BRC certified facility.
PACKAGING: Standard packing is 10 kg vacuum bags and carton boxes. According to the customer requests, we can offer different packaging solutions.
STORAGE: They should be kept in cool and dry conditions between 0 -10°.
