Originating from the sunny western region of Turkey, our rich and intense flavoured organic sun-dried tomatoes also serve as a great source of vitamins and minerals.
Our Organic tomatoes are only ever dried naturally in the summer sun. With only the addition of natural sea salt, we dry them the same way people have been doing for centuries. We would never use chemicals like Sulphur Dioxide to preserve them.
After drying, the Organic tomatoes usually end up losing about 90 percent of their water. Yet, they keep their nutritional value. They are high in Lycopene, Antioxidants, and Vitamin C. It can take up to 15 kilograms of Organic tomatoes to make just one kilo of Organic sun-dried tomatoes.Tomatoes dried this way are packed with an intense flavour. They can be stored for long periods of time and still taste amazing.
TYPES: Halves, Julienne-Cut, Flakes, Diced.
USES: Organic Sun dried tomatoes have a number of uses. You can chop them and sprinkle them on salads to give that extra zip. Alternatively, you can use them on pizzas to make them extra special. Soups can really benefit from the added taste sensation of sun dried tomatoes as can any tomato based sauce. Try also storing them in virgin olive oil , even add a few fresh herbs like Basil and Rosemary or some fresh garlic.
CERTIFICATES: Our sun-dried tomatoes are certified organic according to EU, NOP/USDA and JAS standards. They are processed in our BRC certified facility.
PACKAGING: Standard packing is 10 kg carton boxes. According to the customer requests, we can offer different packaging solutions.
STORAGE: They should be kept in cool and dry conditions between 0 -10 CO.
